Softwire Welcomes OutGeekWomen in Tech to Their London HQ!

2025 hasn’t been the easiest year, but we’re feeling hopeful - with some incredible events just ahead. So far, we’ve had the chance to team up with powerhouse names like Warner Bros. Discovery, BlackRock, Entrix, and more. And in London, we’re excited to announce our newest partnership: Softwire’s tech team will be opening their HQ to welcome women in tech this summer.

Softwire, thank you for hosting OutGeekWomen x London! As a London-based leader in technology transformation, what inspired you to open your doors to women in tech community?

At Softwire we believe that building great technology starts with building diverse teams. Opening our doors to the women in tech community through events like OutGeekWomen is a natural extension of our commitment to creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels they belong.

We want to be part of the solution, not just by talking about it, but by actively creating opportunities, offering support and opening up our networks further to women in tech — so by partnering with OutGeekWomen, we aim to break down barriers, challenge stereotypes and help more women see themselves thriving in tech careers.

If you had to capture the vibe at your HQ in just three words, what would they be?

Fun, Trustworthy & Kind (that’s 3 of our 4 values)!

What makes working at Softwire such a unique and rewarding experience compared to other companies in London’s tech scene? What do your team members appreciate most about being part of your company?

Working at Softwire in genuinely different because we’ve built a culture where people feel supported, trusted but also challenge in equal measure. We prioritise people just as much as performance which isn’t very common in the world of technology.

Team members who may have a broad range of experience prior to working here at Softwire often say the value the transparency and flexibility that we offer, alongside the mentoring and training they receive when working alongside some of the best people in the tech field.

Softwire has a strong reputation for supporting diversity in tech. Other than events, how does your team contribute to empowering women in the London tech community?

Supporting diversity in tech isn’t just about hosting events, it’s something we embed into our culture and ways of working. At Softwire, we’re really intentional about creating pathways for women to thrive both within our organisation and across the wider tech community.

One key way we contribute is through mentorship. Many of our team members, both women and allies, are actively involved in mentoring schemes, whether that’s through external programmes or more informally within our networks. We’ve seen first-hand how a bit of support, encouragement, or guidance at the right moment can make a real difference in someone’s career journey. Ultimately, it’s about being proactive.

Could you give us a sneak peek at the technical roles Softwire is looking to fill in London (or remotely) for spring and summer 2025? Are there any exciting positions that you’re hoping to spotlight at the OutGeekWomen x London event in June?

Absolutely — We have an ‘always on’ approach to recruitment because that enables us to capture the best people on the market at whatever stage of their career or year they’re at.

We’re going to be looking for Technical Leads, Technical Principals, Senior Software Engineers, UX Designers, UI Designers, Service Designers and Delivery Leads over the summer and we’re really excited about our growth this year!

Thank you, Softwire!

RSVPs are still running via outgeek.org, and via Eventbrite. Join us!

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
